Craft Barn "Alpha/Dictionary" Challenge and Country View Challenges
The 3rd letter for the Craft Barn
challenge is "F" and for a twist a heart should be included.
I had a couple of words, but went for "Fairy" at the end.
For the background I drew a grid of squares and rectangles with a pencil. I used 5 different Distress Inks to colour the section by masking them with Post-its. Then I used the same inks to stamp some textures into the sections. I found a very old fairy stamp, which I stamped with blue VersaFine and embossed it with Cosmic Shimmer embossing powder. Cut the fairy out, coloured the background of the fairy with DI and mounted it on a blue piece of fabric. Glued everything on the background and added the flowers and the heart. I also added a border at the top and bottom of the background with Distress Stickles. Finally I added the dictionary definition in the lower left corner.
I would also like to enter this one in the February challenge over on
Country View Challenges.
Their theme this month is "Make your own background"
Thanks for looking :)
I love the colour combination you have used and the texture stamps on the rectangles.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty page, I love your colour palette. Lou x
ReplyDeleteHi - at first sight, this looked like a collage of papers, but I see that it isn't! What a range of different backgrounds and textures - so pretty. Anne O
ReplyDeleteA very pretty background! Great color combination! Sweet fairy image. Love your idea of adding your heart with a button or charm. I'm not quite sure which it is. It looks 3-D.
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful creation, love the color scheme. I've had a wrong letter in my mind and created a page for the letter "K" ... :D .... Will do another page during the next days.
