Journal 52 - Week 1

My crafty new years resolution is to finish the Journal 52 challenge this year. Didn't quite make it last year.

So the prompt for Week 1 is "Pathways": think about things that will inspire you along the path, and things you hope to see in the upcoming year. Maybe you are taking your first steps towards a project, or maybe you are looking ahead with goals and New Year’s Resolutions. What will help you along your journey?

So the Journal 52 challenges are my pathway for this year. I've covered the background with pan pastels and added Grunge Paste through a stencil. Coloured the paste with Distress Ink and stamped the quote on cardboard, coloured it and glued it to the background. Die-cut some letters and glued: "a new path" in the lower corner.
Thanks a lot for looking.

Craft-Room Challenge - Cats

I spent some time today to make a card for the new Craft-Room Challenge.

The Challenge theme is Cats and since I love cats (and dogs :) ) this was good fun.

For the background I've just used red Pan Pastels. Than I used some distress paper and ran it through a polka dot embossing folder. After that I've sandpapered it to make the red appear form underneath.

The cat stamp is from Stampendous and the quote from Dylusions. I've used black VersaFine for both stamps.

Thanks for looking :)

The Craft Barn: Q & L Challenge

After a wee break without any inspirations at all (I blame it on the weather, it's too hot for Scotland :) )  I managed to make another journal page for the

new Craft Barn Challenge.
The Challenge this time is to use the words MIND and/or IGNORANCE in a quote or lyric.

I was sure from the beginning that I wanted to use the word MIND for this one and I found a sheet of quotes (a freebie in a craft magazine) with the quote: "I can't get you out off my mind" on it. So I went for it.
For the background I used 2 Dylusion Inks and a harlequin stencil. The postcard and the image in the right top corner are from Crafty Individuals. The hearts are die cuts or Grunge Board and the border is a Washi tape. The frame with the lyric on is another freebie from a craft magazine.

Looking forward to see what everybody is making for this challenge.
Thanks for looking. :)

This ATC is for the Artful Times Challenge 53.
The Challenge theme is Spray Away.

For the background I've glued mixed herbs to the ATC, let is dry and added acrylic paints.
The moos and inchies are sprayed with Dylusion inks and stamped with swirl stamps using VersaFine inks.
The butterfly images are from Crafty Individuals.

Crafty Individuals April Challenge - Nature's Beauty

I've made this page for one of my Yahoo groups and thought this would fit the

Crafty Individuals April Challenge quite good as well.
The Challenge theme is Nature's Beauty.
I've used Dylusions Sprays, Versa Fine and Staz-on inks.
The stamps are from Crafty Individuals and Our Daily Bread (the fish net).

Inspirational Journal: A Splash of Color Challenge

This page is for the Inspiration Journal challenge for March.
The Challenge is A Splash of color.

I've made this page for a Jumbo ATC swap on one of my Yahoo groups. I've used Dylusion sprays and VersaFine ink pads. I'm not sure where the splash stamp is from though, I had it for ages.
