Less Is More: CASE a DT Card

A new card for the new Less is More Challenge - Week 216.
The Challenge this week is  to CASE a DT Card.

I decided to go for Chrissie's card. I really like the style.

So I die-cutted a square and a rectangle piece of cardstock and embossed the borders. Then I stamped the flowers and the quote with black VersaFine and embossed them with clear embossing powder. After that I coloured the flowers with Promarkers and adhered both panels on a white card base with foam pads. The stamps are from Papermania and Inkylicious.
This was a quick and fun card to make.
Thanks for looking :)

Artful Times: Birds

This card is for the new Artful Times Challenge #75.
The Challenge theme is Birds. Check out the examples from the DT, they are absolutely gorgeous.

For this card I've stamped
the background with some polka dot stamps in different VersaFine colours, layered it with red and yellow cardstock and added the blue cardstock panel.
I stamped and embossed the birds on white cardstock, coloured them with ProMarkers and added them to the blue panel. The stamps are from Inkadinkado and Stampotique.
Thanks for looking :)

Journal 52 - Week 4

I'm still working on the conversation (week 3) page, however I have finished the page for Week 4 at Journal 52. The prompt this week is to incorporate a silhouette.

For the background I've used several Distress Inks sprayed with water. For the sihouette I've used black VersaFine and scribbled some text on it, outlined with white Posca Pen. Then I added some pen stamps at one side of the page.

The words are from a stencil as well. Added some Washi Tape and draw a white border around the page.
Looking forward to next weeks prompt.
Thanks for looking.

Less Is More: One Layer - Starry, Starry Night

This card is for the new Less is More Challenge - Week 197.
The Challenge this week is a One Layer card with the theme: Starry, Starry Night.
I was experimenting with the Northern Lights technique lately and thought that would work well with some stars. So I masked up a rectangle spot on my card, stamped some stars with VersaMark and embossed them with clear embossing powder. Then I added the different colours for the Northern Lights effect with Distress Inks and VersaFine. Check the technique out here. It's good fun.

I've rubbed off the inks from the stars with a kitchen towel and added a border with a blue metallic ProMarker and the sentiment. Finally I filled in the stars with a clear Sakura gelly pen.
Thanks for looking :)

Journal 52 - Week 2

I worked on my next Journal 52 page.

The prompt for Week 2 is: Somewhere, a simple place
"Think of places you love. Maybe it is the library, your home, the kitchen, a garden, the place where you create, a travel destination or being surrounded with family or friends. Maybe your place is imaginary. Think of things you enjoy that are related to places and spaces in your life – or maybe a place you wish existed."

This was quite easy for me, because my happy place is my couch. :)
And here it is. The background is yellow acrylic paint, where I doodle a border around it. A photo of my couch and some Maya Road Chipboards coloured with Distress Inks and white dots.

Mojo Monday Challenge #340

This card is for the Mojo Monday Challenge #340.

The challenge is using the following sketch:
I've used VersaFine ink, a ProMarker and a Gelli Roll pen for the sentiment.
The stamp is from Crafty Individuals and the flowers are from Petaloo.

C'est la vie - Queen Bee

This card is for two challenges:

CAS(E) this Sketch - Challenge #72

Dynamic Duos - Challenge #98

I've used Distress inks, VersaFine and Staz-on.

Also a Gelli Roll Metallics pen and a ProMarker.
The bee stamps are from the freebie set of the Creative Stamping magazine.

I don't know where the "C'est la vie" stamp is from though.
