The Craft Barn: Q & L Challenge
We've got a new challenge over at the Craft Barn today.
The Challenge this time is to use the words THING and/or FAMILY in a quote or lyric.
I decided to do another page in my art journal and found a Dylusions stamp with the following quote, which I like a lot:
Enjoy the little things in life...
for one day you'll look
back and realize
they were the big things.
Then I browsed the July Issue of the Craft Stamper magazine in search for some inspirations and found a technique called: Tattered & Torn.
So for this page I used Distress Inks and VersaFine. The stamps are from Dylusions and Papermania. Finally some lace as borders.
Looking forward to see what everybody is making for this challenge. Thanks a lot for all the lovely comments left for my MIND page :)
what a great page, love the tattered and torn technique.
ReplyDeleteWow. I'd not heard of that technique, but I sure like the outcome. You created a stunning page. Really, really stunning. And those lacy borders are the icing on the cake (or the page, if you will).
ReplyDeleteA beautiful page and love the lace borders, reminds me of petticoats or fancy knickers LOL.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful page, love the techniques and that you enjoyed playing. Fantastic quote :-) xxx
ReplyDeleteA great idea, fantastic page.
ReplyDeleteGreat torn edge effect, and love that lacy border. Fabulous!
ReplyDeleteLike the tattered and torn effect, to me it looks like a Victorian dress hold together with string.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully put together and a great quote too!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful page, and I really like the quote. Reminds me that every experience in life is important no matter how big or small!
