The Craft Barn: Q & L Challenge

This is the last challenge this year at the Craft Barn. I had lots of fun this year joining in and would like to thank the Craft Barn team for organizing these interesting challenges. Looking forward to what you have planned for us in the new year.
Also thanks to all of you who visited my blog and left a comment. Very much appreciated. :)
I also had lots of fun visiting your blogs and got lots of inspiration for future projects.

The challenge this time is to use the words FAITH and/or HARMONY in a quote or lyric.
I found a quote from George Washington with both words in it:

"Observe good faith and justice towards all nations. Cultivate peace and harmony with all."
With all what's going on in the world at the moment, I think this is something everybody should think about and take it to heart.
For the background I've used a wash of different Distress inks. I printed out an image of a united world and the quote as well. Added some Distress inks to both and glued them on the page. I finished it off by drawing the border.

I wish you all
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2015
Thanks for looking :)

  1. LOVE we used the same quote, nearly used the Margaret Thatcher one but wasn't sure how visitors would react!

Totally agree with your words which is why i added the Dove of Peace. The ink bottle and feathers were a reference to how long ago this quote was documented & we are still at odds with each other...

Love your page it is gorgeous:-) xxx

  2. Great composition, perfect image, and love that border. Happy 2015 :D

  3. Very attractive piece and perfectly illustrated!

  4. Words that indeed, we should all strive to live by. Especially the decision makers in our societies. Excellent choice, excellent imagery :o))

  5. Love the graphic feel of the page and it's a perfect illustration of the quote!

  6. What a great quote to finish with - using both words and bringing together lots of people from everywhere to join in a challenge. Merry Christmas!

  7. Really love that border, well done on completing the challenge

  8. I love how we used different quotes but had the same image idea. I love what you've done wth your Washington quote, the distress background and the doodled frame. have a happy new year.

  9. Great quote, love the image and well done on using both words! Happy New Year! xx

  10. A great choice of quote and depicted so well. I especially like your hand drawn border.
    Happy new year!
